Connectivity Options for InterBase on Linux

Hi,

might someone provide or point me to some information about connectivity options when running InterBase (XE7) on Linux?

I just read the following articles:

Unfortunately, I can't find any information about how to connect to InterBase on Linux using PHP or Go (golang.org). One of the articles above mentions that an ODBC driver is only supported under Windows. But it doesn't make sense to me that I can install and run InterBase on Linux, but can't connect to it. Or just connect to it using a second server with Windows and the ODBC driver.
