I have an installation of Rad Studio 10.2 installed on my PC that was installed for me, when I press F1 to invoke the context help I get the following error:

'RAD Studio's help is not installed. Please Re-install RAD Studio's documentation.'

Also, when using the drop down help menu there are no options under 'Help -> Delphi Help'.

I've tried to run the installer to add the help files but the only option I have is to uninstall and re-install RAD Studio which I don't want to do.

I've also downloaded the help files and copied them to  C:\Program Files (x86)\Embarcadero\Studio\19.0\Help\Doc which hasn't resolved the issue.

Is there a method to install the help files so that RAD Studio recognises them without having to reinstall the entire product?

Good afternoon! I use Rad Studio 10.2.3 and TMapView. My empty application with tmapview closes when it runs on android.
The exception is First chance exception at $ 9D8F91CB. Exception class EJNI with message 'Java class JGooglePlayServicesUtil could not be found'. Process ips_and.apk (5963).
Api key is created and all the settings are done according to the instructions.
When you run applications in Rad Studio 10.1, everything works fine.
What could be the problem ?

 Yesterday I upgraded to Tokio 10.2.3 and I have been able to build and run an android project.

 Today the same project and any other android project I try (including newly created blank new projects) fail to compile.

Hi Has anyone any experience of using SAGE SDO with Delphi. The VB I am replacing with Delphi uses SageDataObject240.dll but trying to add as component to Delphi throws memory error.    Having viewed the VB code am confident to implement and reluctant to give Sage £1500 for a two minute answer.   Anyone able to help?   Thanks   Tony

When  I compiled a basic application on iOs device (I have tested on iPhone 6), the system status bar is not visible, on iOs Simulator yes.

I saw the new form property SystemStatusBar, and is cheched visible.

Anybody Knows what is the problem?

I'm trying to create a simple Win32 application to read data from my Adafruit Bluefruit Feather 32u4 device using TBluetoothLE.

After hours of trying to get it running, I'm now at least able to discover the device, get the services and characteristics. But I still have three issues:

1. OnEndDiscoverDevice is not called
   
   According to the documentation the event OnEndDiscoverDevice should be called automatically on the windows platform. On my system (latest Win 10, Lenovo x240) this never happens. I have to manually call BluetoothLE.CancelDiscovery.
   
   As a workaround I call the CancelDiscovery once the first device with the correct service is discovered.
   
   Is this a bug or do I misunderstand the documentation?
2. Reading characteristics always fail (TBluetoothGattStatus = Failure)
   
   When I try to read the characteristic using
   
   BluetoothLE1.ReadCharacteristic(FBLEDevice, FMyChar);

Reading onCharacteristicRead is always called with the status set to Failure. Subscribing to characteristics also does not work.
   
   I'm able to read the values from the device using the sample app provided by AdaFruit on Android. So it's not an issue with the device.
3. When closing the program I get an EInvalidPointer-exception at 0000F22C once I performed a device discovery
   
   This happens with all programs (including ExploreDevicesLE, BLEScanner).

All issues also appear in the ExploreDevicesLE sample project. After implementing the workaround for the first issue I can query all services / characteristics, but when I try to read the value of a characteristic the program crashes.

Any hints what could be wrong or how I could further debug the issues?

Using 10.2.3 C++ to create a firemonkey Windows 32 application, how do I add a horizontal bar separator between two items on the main form pull down menu. Eg I have a "File" menu which when clicks opens up "Load" "Save" and "Exit". I want a horizontal bar between the "Save" item and the "Exit" item. Using VCL you just add a new item and set it to a dash and VCL does the rest. Not so with Firemonkey. So how do you do it?

Environment: c++ builder xe with a  windows 8 target.

Problem:

repeated use of  new TMySQLDatabase(NULL) and delete appears to use more and more memory on a windows 8 target.(as if no delete had taken place.)  That is looking at memory use in the task manager memory use for the program in question.  . Elimination of the repeated use of this call stops the problem from occurring.

Note: This does not appear to be an issue on windows 10.

I have problems using TMemo component in android applications. FMX TMemo shows a strange behaviour editing in Samsung S7 (Android 7.0), the lines changes their order while they are entered and is impossible to arrange (RSP-18614).

I don't know if anybody else has the same issue and how to work around to fix it until Embarcadero publish an updating or patch that corrects this bug.

Any ideas?

I was trying to access my SQL Server 2014 database but keeps getting error 945, which is suspect database error showing below: 

I have tried to bring it into Emergency mode by following instructions from here:

Now it is in emergency Mode and I don't want to run Repair_Allow_Data_loss as I do not want to lose the data because I do not have a recent database backup and I need to get the database accessible.

Hello, I am porting some Delphi 7 apps to Delphi Tokyo. It seems to me that my apps are not fully compatible with Delphi Tokyo because tlabel properties are managed differently, using Style Elements.  But this is not enough if you want to alter the background's color. I understand you have to use Firemonkey. As far as I am concerned, I think that this point is not well documented. There are many exemples on how to make use of the full sophisticated potential of Firemonkey. So far I haven't read anything or seen a simple exemple on how to simply change the background color of tlabel. Before using Firemonkey, I first want to fully run my Delphi 7 apps with Delphi Tokyo. The real point of the problem is not that it is different, but that the differences havent' been clearly documented and explained. This is kind of an hindrance to go further.

I have my application working smoothly in Delphi XE2 with BDE with PostgreSQL databse.
Now, it has been migrated to latest Delphi 10.2 update 3 with PostgreSQL database only.

This application is kept running continuously on the system 24*7*365. In a week or so, "Out of memory" error is displayed.

Earlier BDE was used which is replaced by FireDAC in this version. Windows socket has been replaced with INDY components.

Working of application is:

There are live instruments connected to the application, via UDP packets INDY receives data and on timer data is saved in the database.
Basically read methods of 3 INDY components are called again and again and timer in one minute to save this data.
INI files are created, read and freed on every read method.

It works fine for almost 8 days and after that it displays a message. The problem is, we cannot reproduce it on our end.
It needs live environment.
I tried with Fastmm4 and other tools. We have no leaks in our application as such.

Please suggest.

I have two Computers Bugie_X10 running with Interbase XE7 Server Edition and FIBU_X10 running with Interbase XE7 Desktop Edition. Both Computers are connected and when running IBConsole everything runs and works correct. On the Bugie_X10 Computer also my Delphi 10 Application runs correct. But when I try to start the Application on the FIBU_X10 Computer I got the Message " Exception TDBXError in Modul KarteiNEU.exe bei 0026AD1E I/O Error for file 'Kartei' Error while trying to open file"

Hi, I used Delphi Professional edition with mobile plugin since at least Delphi XE4. I used lately Tokyo 10.2.2 and I'm under subscription. I have uninstalled it to install 10.2.3 with the iso. The installation is Ok but when I run Delphi 10.2 the license information dialog box. I have to enter my license number (I have try the both my Delphi license and my mobile pack licence) and when I click on OK, a dialog box says that I am not licensed for C++ Builder and Delphi don't start. I'm agree I have only Delphi but Delphi don't start... Thank you for your help. Grégory Bersegeay.

For emulator i can debug programs without problem.

This error occurs all times when i try to build Delphi IOS device phone app.

(The same error is showed in the provisioning screen of options if the Configuration is not Development) If i select the correct Configuration, the screen shows

I have a C++ Builder project that I can build and debug using the exact same project settings on my work computer, but when I cloned the repo and tried to debug at home, the debugger failed to find any debug symbols for the main executable. I can open up the modules window and manually set the symbols file to the TDS, so I have a work-around when I need it. I'm just frustrated that I cannot find whatever setting is causing RadStudio to not even look for the TDS file, despite the fact that it is created when the project is built.

I think I have a broken installation of RadStudio 10.2 Tokyo, but uninstalling and re-installing has not fixed this issue for me.

My system is a Dell laptop running Windows 10. My work system is a different model of Dell laptop running Windows 10. I have compared settings as much as I could think to, but I can't figure out how to fix this problem on my system.
